Addons I Use and Why

I use A LOT of addons but they each have their purpose. Everything will be color coded.

Bartender 4 : Bartender 4 is a great bar addon. There really is no difference between this bar addon and any other bar addon out there. This one just happened to be the first one I saw. I use it for all my bars and for keybindings. Granted I only have 1 keybind, but it was easy to set up. Clicker4life. Download here.

• Not obvious here but I also use ButtonFacade. It is set on Adorn: Light Square. Download here.
• Bartender does not support cooldowns on their buttons. But it is completely compatible with OmniCC! Download here.

Carbonite: At the moment I am leveling so I use Carbonite for my quest needs. Once I hit raid status again I will more than likely remove it. Why do I use this versus say Questhelper? Questhelper is a huge memory hog. While it never did it for me when I used it it would cause my BF to disconnect while in town every so often. He would have to turn QH off then he would be able to finally log into his character. The only downside to carbonite is I can’t stand the ugly pixel squares used to show quest areas. Download here.

Pitbull 4: Pitbull 4 is used for all my unit frames. I use it because it is HIGHLY customizable and the new Pitbull 4 does not take a genius or 5 hours to set up. Pitbull 4 is still in Alpha mode which means it is a “Use and your own risk” addon. They are not finished with all the code so there will be bugs as well as missing features. They are also constantly adding new code. I have not had any problems with it however I have read that people are having issues with raid and party set up. You can Download it here. Satrina Buff Frames 3 / SBF: I use this for all my buffs and debuffs. It is so easy to setup! I also couldn’t stand the use of bars by other addons so this was perfect for me. I have heard you can use it to set up bars if you wish though. Download here.

Prat: Prat is my chat mod. In my opinion it is no different than any other chat mod out there like bar addons. I use it because there are many different modules and options to choose from and well it was the first one I picked up. XD Download here.

Autobar: I use autobar for my quest items. I hover over that box and it will pop up all the quest items I have in my inventory that way I don’t have to search through them all. I am actually looking for a replacement because it does hold on to alot of memory and the pop up doesn’t always hide when I remove my mouse. I used to use it for food/water, mount, hearth, pots, and buffs but I have turned to Lunarsphere for those. Download here.

Lunarsphere: I use Lunarsphere for my mounts, food/water, hearth, pots and buffs. Its a nice little tool that uses very little memory. I also use it to automatically restock any reagents I need. There are so many options and can be used as a complete replacement for your bar mod. My only problem is that it does not support square buttons. Yet anyway! So it does look quite out of place with the rest of my UI. Download here.

MikScrollingBattleText: In the SS I have it as “Combat Text”. Whoops! I use MSBT to show mana regen, crits and spell reminders with a cool down of more than 5 seconds. I also have it show when my buffs are about to expire. I know more people show all of their combat but I noticed I don’t pay attention to any of it except my crits so I removed all the damage and healing and it allows me to see more of my screen. Rminimap: Rminimap is not for the beginner as it does not have a config menu. You have to go into the LUA and fix/change anything you want to customize. For the sleek style it has I was willing to go in and learn. I use a mini map along with my Carbonite map because Carbonite does not show quest givers or herbs. It can be downloaded here.

Eavesdrop: Eavesdrop is my combat log. I love the display as well as the summary at the end of combat that shows me how much damage I have taken, done, healing done, and healing taken. You can download it here.

SL Data Text: The movable titan/fubar. I love it. I can place info anywhere I want. Download here.

This is TinyTip. I love seeing the health percent and the talents portion just satisfies my curiosity with a simple mouse over. Download here.

This is Aloft. I use it to change the nameplates. It is extremely customizable but can be a little hard to set up. Download is here.

Addons that are not pictured or can not be pictured are below:

Align: Align just allows a grid to show over my screen so I can properly space my addons.

Clique: Clique is my replacement for Healbot. It allows me to click cast any spell of my choosing on my unit frames while allowing me to customize which frames. For example, I don’t want to cast Refresh when I right click my own frame or my target frame so I have those frames turned off.

KGPanels: This is where all my borders (set to Roth) come from around my chat frame/unit frames. Complicated to set up at times but once set up I’ve never had to go back.

Quartz: Used for my cast bar and my targets cast bar. I also use it to show my debuff timers on my target.

Sellfish: Sellfish shows me how much an item would cost to sell to a vendor. Extremely useful when finishing a quest that just offers me plate.. and more plate.. and did I mention plate? With a mouse over I can see which item will sell for more gold and select that one. Can’t live without it.

PowerAuras: I use powerauras to show low health and when I don’t have certain buffs on. I really don’t pay attention to sounds anymore so having a visual reminder is really helpful.

Ratingbuster and TekKompare: RB gives me stat breakdown while TK shows me what I have equipped when I mouse over an item I can use. Extremely valuable when looking for new gear.
