Shadow Priest Macros
7 July, 2009  |  No comments  |  World of Warcraft

Ahh.. Finally. My graphics card went kaput on me last week. So being the cheapo I am I ordered one online with a guaranteed 3 day shipping. (Read: 1WEEK! >.>) So I finally got it installed and can continue my routine of leveling, blogging, and well lurking other forums/blogs. XD Good times.

These are “How did I live without these?!” macros for Shadow Priests! Post yours if I missed any!

Spamming Mind Flay? Sick of losing your last tick while trying to spam Mind Flay? Use this! This macro only casts Mind Flay if you are not already casting Mind Flay.

#showtooltip Mind Flay
/cast [nochanneling:Mind Flay] Mind Flay ;

Spamming Mind Sear? Oh what fun.

#showtooltip Mind Sear
/cast [nochanneling:Mind Sear] Mind Sear ;

Want to cast Mind Blast right after Mind Flay but don’t want to lose your last tick? Sensing a theme? o.O

#showtooltip Mind Blast
/cast [nochanneling] Mind Flay;

Fast, simple, easy way to Shackle Undead.

/clearfocus [modifier:shift]
/clearfocus [target=focus,dead]
/clearfocus [target=focus,noexists]
/focus [target=focus,noexists]
/cast [target=focus] Shackle Undead

(Though I hear Shackle Undead isn’t used very much by us anymore, well it may be of use in my leveling.)

Side Note: I have heard that the [nochanneling] will actually lower your dps as far as raids go. I however have not raided since 70 and have not experienced this change. Once I hit 80 and start raiding again I will be sure to do a few experiments.

PvPriest, Part 2: Arena Duos and Your Role

As a shadow priest, you have a decent amount of control, you're reasonably hardy, but you do not have many methods of saving your partner in a pinch. That means, in a team with two damage classes, you want to get either a frost mage or a rogue for a partner. Read more

Shadow Dueling ~ A Guest Post by Calsong

Protective, shimmering radiance fills the air as you crouch, watching the spot the dagger-wielding rogue disappeared. A Fear Ward is active, but your feet are numb. You pace, reviewing your plan of action as you renew your shield. Suddenly the rogue is upon you, stunning you in place and crippling your movements. This was expected, you reassure yourself whilst spamming the Psychic Scream button. Read more

The Guild – Rules

Last installation I talked about how important rules and recruitment were (and coincidentally, how similar they were to hooking up a girl). This week I'm going to cover all the areas where your dirty little rules should expand to. I'm going to start with quoting three bullets from last week, explain them even more vigorously, and then finally explore the areas where there should be rules. Read more
