Hmmm…so, about me: I’ll try to keep this as short as I can, but I’ll answer any additional questions via email if anyone is THAT curious. Don’t worry if I lose you along the way, I’ll try to add in some zombies and aliens from time to time to help you get through it.
My name is Jonathan or Jon, but most people via the internet call me Fox, Kos (old GT), or some combination of those. I’m 23 years old and currently attending my university for a BA in International Studies with a Minor in German. I’ve been learning German for about 6 years now and I’d consider myself semi-fluent, but of course the moment I say that, someone will drop some serious amount of Deutsch on me and I’ll feel like a high school freshman learning Hallo for the first time. I plan on studying in Vienna, Austria this spring and if all goes according to plan, I should know as early as late October. I just hope that I don’t get abducted by the mutants that live in my toaster. Still with me?
Gaming….it’s what you’re here for right? I enjoy practically all genres of gaming, even down to the turn based strategy games (Tactics anyone?), but before anyone says it, no I don’t enjoy Barbie Pony Palace Island or Mary Kate & Ashley’s Super Mall Adventure (man, I feel old…..k, make that Hannah Montana’s Super Mall Adventure). I’m not a big fan of movie themed video games because the vast majority of them are bug ridden coasters that don’t deserve to be put in a gaming system and were rushed to market to coincide with the movie release. Anyone remember the Wolverine game that came out to coincide with X2? I do…….and I don’t get those 3 hours back…..ever. Thankfully, a giant yeti beast broke through my wall like the Kool Aid Man and destroyed the game before it took my soul. Just checkin’
Favorite games? I’ve played too many to have one ‘favorite’, but there are several games and series that have really stuck out to me over the years and those are the ones I could probably call favorites. The Metal Gear (and yes the originals) series has been a major favorite of mine (my name comes from my favorite video game character) and the Final Fantasy series is an absolute must for any RPG fan. (But you knew that, didn’t you? ) I don’t want to ignite any flame wars by this, but the ones that stuck with me the most so far is FFVII and FFVIII with FFX and FFVI very close behind them. It’s just a preference, neither is better than any other….except all are better than FFXI.
*dodges internet fists* But c’mon, who doesn’t remember waiting til those last few seconds just to see my favorite Final Fantasy ninja Shadow leap aboard before the world is destroyed? Each had its great moments. As for other games, Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 are truly phenomenal examples of the Horror genre and are permanent additions to my list of favorites. Alright, this could go on for forever and I haven’t even gotten to the shooters, but suffice it to say I love all ‘Sorts’ of games (I’m incredibly corny). Where are vampires with chainsaws when I need them??
Ok, into the final stretch. You probably know my girlfriend Fu (since you’re on her site right?). I love her and we’ve been going out for over a year now and I’ve never been happier. Besides that, I’ve got a moron cat that’d sooner eat a giant plate of his own doo before filet mignon. He’s great except for the night times when he decides to ‘flex the golden pipes’ on a frequent basis. Ever seen that video of the cat on the ceiling fan? Sometimes I wish I could do that to my cat……but he’s declawed. There has to be some way…. Seriously though: God, my girlfriend, gaming, and my tard cat….what more could I ask for? Also, orcs with bazookas.
The End. You made it! (+10 GamerScore for getting through long info page) Thanks for reading!
