Top 5 Downloaded Minimalist UIs from WoWInterface

So I tend to browse WoW Interface from time to time. Normally when I’m bored and just looking for something that I just didn’t know I needed.

Here’s a list of the top downloaded Minimalist UIs and what I think of them. BTW: I don’t like extreme minimalist UIs. You know the ones. I like information! I love information! So keep that in mind when taking a look at my reviews. Also keep in mind that I’m a clicker, I likes my buttons.

Acaciaizm MiniMe UI: 24,900 Downloads

I just can’t stand the bars for buffs. Never have. I think it takes up way more space than actual buffs. I like the raid frames which Acacia uses Pitbull to handle. I like the separate combat log and chat frames. I also like the bar at the bottom which is FuBar. Only thing that screams at me (besides the buff bars) is the font. I don’t know what it is about it, but it just doesn’t fit for the castbars, timers, and well to be honest everything besides the actual names. Download and list of addons can be found here.

Tukui: 24,500 Downloads

Well, for starters WTB combat, raid, ANYTHING other than this shot. People shouldn’t have to download to see what the combat looks like or what the raid/party frames look like. Judging by the list he created a lot of the addons himself so being able to see these things is even more important. Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I like it. I like the graphical information bar. I also like the unit frames. Download and list of addons here. (Config is done through LUA)

ALZA UI: 17,100 Downloads

Clean, sleek, and minimalist. I actually don’t mind the small unit frames. Which is odd because the first glimpse of this picture I thought I would. I don’t like the font used for grid though. Other than that I like this compilation. Downloads and list of addons here. (Config is done through LUA)

Raynes Burnt Black Cherry Lite UI: 16,300

Ok I love the unit frame panels! Very cool. Check out the Youtube video to see it in action. Omen pops up at the top, buffs are to the top left and it looks like party? frames are to the top right. Very cool UI. Download here. Youtube video in case it doesn’t show here.

LUI : 8,800 Downloads

I don’t know if I would call this minimalist, but it’s under the category so hell.. let’s pretend. I like how organized the bottom section is. And.. well that’s about it. It’s extremely busy. At least the colors match. Woot for not being color blind!
