HoN ~ Greed is Bad

“Greed is bad.” Often given as advice with a slight middle finger for when a person at level 3 goes head first into an enemy tower to kill an enemy hero only to be owned. I also throw this out there at level 15 when you go ass backward following someone into their well. Greed is very bad. So you would think, why on earth would you dedicate an entire post to this silly green eyed demon? Well, I am, but I’m not. I’m not going to talk about how it’s a no no to go into the tower. It’s like saying “Don’t go into the van. I don’t care if he has candy or a puppy. Don’t do it!!”

This greed is when you finally get into a game were you are owning face left and right. For one reason or another the other team isn’t conceding which you’ve decided means they don’t want the game to end.. ever. Rather than pushing and ending the game you’re out farming… for more items… because you need them… even though you’ve already taken down their rax.. and genocided them… I’m confused. Rather than pushing and ending the game, everyone just wants to wait until they come out of their base and rack up a few more kills. Is it not sad that this is the only way you can get kills?

I had the longest EM game of my life yesterday. I normally don’t play EM, but I was waiting on friends to get out of their current game. So I thought I had time to spare. What could it hurt? It would even warm me up a little. It would be a win win right? No, it was a FAIL you tard. The other team wanted to concede, but they had that one guy that refused to. Of course, my team filled with “OMG I’m actually getting kills!!!” didn’t want to kick him, which left the other team still unable to concede. My team made that game last forever. Mostly by refusing to push, waiting for the other team to leave their base, killing them quickly, and then rinse and repeat. You greedy selfish bastards.

Now as I type this there are times when “calling the kettle black” seems appropriate. I have gone head first into a tower. I have went to farm while my team was pushing. I have been a bad bad kid. However, my actions have never led to a game lasting longer than it should just to make my K:D look prettier. By the way, it’ll reset when the game comes out. Yep, cry about it now.
