San Jose, Calif., December 15, 2009 – iGames announced today the Heroes of Newerth – North American Cup, an online tournament utilizing the beta version of the PC video game Heroes of Newerth™ from S2 Games. The tournament is the latest in the Alienware Arena™ series presented by Alienware®, Dell’s premier, high-performance PC gaming brand representing premium power and performance for gamers and technology enthusiasts alike.
In the Heroes of Newerth – North American Cup, up to 128 teams of valiant heroes will compete through two phases of single-elimination brackets. Matches will be played twice per week, from January 18th through January 28th, followed by a Championship featuring the top 8 teams on January 30th.
Now it pays to be a Champion of Newerth! Gamers with the exceptional teamwork and gaming skills needed to make it through to the end will be rewarded with a share of $1,500 in cash prizes sponsored by Alienware.
