After my first game of HoN I realized that people disconnect often. And by often I mean 70% of the games I play there is always at least 1 disconnect. It’s more than frustrating to play a game and be at a sudden disadvantage because our carry has decided to quit at 15 minutes because he died. So reading about the No Leaver game option I decided I was only going to play games that had it enabled.
The No Leaver option means that it will not allow players with over 8% disconnects of total games played to connect. First looking at 8% it gives off the impression of such a small number it should keep out most of those rrrrage quitters, but lets look at the actual numbers.
My stats: I have played a total of 280 games (since the last stat wipe). I have 3 disconnects. Comcast sucks btw. Which means I have a 1.08 leaver percent. Not bad. If I were to join a game and my stats were being looked at in a purely disconnects fashion I would be in the clear.
Now let’s look at this players stats: He has played a total of 1,099 games played. He has a total of 73 disconnects. Which means he has a 7.12 leaver percent. Now I know this player. I’ve watched his stats on and off for about a month now. A few weeks ago his disconnects were at 46. I have watched him rrrage quit a few times.
73 disconnects.. 73! Yet, he is still able to join No Leaver games. He’s going to hit the 8% mark soon.. or is he? The more games he plays the more he is able to disconnect.
I hope they lower the leaver percentage before release. 5%? 6%?
Are you a leaver? Do you rrrage quit on a dime? Or do you rarely leave a game no matter how bad it gets?
